LAKE PLACID, N.Y.-Ironman North America, World Triathlon Corporation and the Boland family are also happy to announce the formation of the John Boland Foundation.
Donations to the John Boland Foundation will be used to benefit charities as per the request of the Boland family. Janus Mutual Funds, a proud sponsor of Ironman North America events, has donated $23,000 as a kick off to the foundation. Triathlete's run for John Boland
LAKE PLACID, N.Y.-The Boland family and Ironman North America are also setting up a group marathon in the fall to celebrate John's life and the sport of triathlon. Options include the New York, Washington, Chicago and Philadelphia Marathons. One of the four marathons will be picked based on athlete interest.
